On February 11, 2024, the new edition of this traditional fest (held 21 years ago) will take to the stage at the Carioca Club, in São Paulo, only thrash metal bands – yes, a Kool Metal Thrash version.
The celebration brings together global exponents, national icons and rising names in the genre: Vio-Lence (USA), Exhorder (USA) and the Brazilians Ratos de Porão, Damn Youth, Escalpo, Cerberus Attack and Santa Muerte.
Vio-lence is a thrash metal band from the Bay Area in California formed in 1985 that released some demo tapes, an EP and 3 LPs between 1985 and 1993. Robb Flynn, now Machine Head, was one of the musicians in the first formation .
Exhorder is a band from New Orleans, formed in 1985. It was considered the band that created the groove metal style, later popularized by the band Pantera. It was also one of the bands that helped form the “Louisiana sound”, a sound shared among many metal bands from the state of Louisiana
Ratos de Porão are the most Thrasher punks in the world. Damn Youth, the fury from Ceará, is one of the best live bands today. Escalpo comes with his metallic d-Beat directly from the interior of São Paulo with an explosive passage through Europe.
Cerberus Attack appears, once again, with its dirty street thrash. And Santa Muerte with its wonderful, raw crossover. All of this in the middle of carnival.
