Blindead 23 is back with a brand new live video of the single “So, It Feels Like Misunderstanding When” filmed at Summer Dying Loud Festival 2023. The video showcases Blindead 23 playing one of their first-ever live shows, and heralds the announce of a new mini-album due out sometime this year.
“There was a point in time when Blindead 23 was forming in which we collectively agreed to pay our respects to the past Blindead albums that both Patryk and I were part of by performing these songs live,” wrote Blindead 23‘s Mateusz “Havoc” Śmierzchalski.
“‘So It Feels Like Misunderstanding’ from the album called Affliction is one of the tracks we had to include in the setlist when we performed for the very first time as Blindead 23 at Summer Dying Loud Festival 2023.
“We kinda knew that the new line up with Roger Öjersson (Katatonia), Paweł Jaroszewicz (former drummer of Vader, Decapitated and more), Maciej Janas (Ketha) and Vinicius Nunes was more than capable of giving these tracks justice.
“However, to me the most important part was seeing all these people who came to see the show and enjoyed it so much. They obviously waited to hear the old songs after many years since the original Blindead line up fell apart.
“This was also my comeback to performing on stage after years of therapy. So it was quite emotional to me from that perspective already. The energy between us and the people was beyond what I could have imagined and I will always remember that moment in my carrier.
“Since the release of the full Blindead 23 album is being on hold due to reasons beyond our control at the moment. We are recording a 27 minute long mini album to be released later this year which will be followed by live shows.”
