If you missed last year’s Dethklok tour with Babymetal, or you didn’t and you want to experience Brendon Small’s creation live and in person yet again, you’ve got another chance this coming spring. This April, Skwisgaar Skwigelf, Toki Wartooth, William Murderface, Pickles the Drummer, and Nathan Explosion will return to the stage, this time bringing along DragonForce and Nekrogoblikon to the nightly slaughter.
Dubbed the ‘Mutilation on a Spring Night’ Tour, the show will run from April 7 in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina and traverse the U.S. before coming to a complete stop in Portland, Oregon. As you may expect, this run will feature many locales that the band didn’t hit with their last outing, so chances are you might have a closer venue this time around.
Dethklok creator and frontman Brendon Small said he was stoked to bring the band together with DragonForce and Nekrogoblikon, given how much fun everyone seems to have in a live capacity.
“I love bands that celebrate guitar and bands that have a lot of fun onstage. I also love bands that don’t, but for this tour, I think it makes sense to have a lot of dragons, goblins, and ‘kloks together. If you’re going to do this, you gotta go big and over the top. This is going to be a very fun show for people.”
Artist ticket presales for the tour will begin today at 1 p.m. EST through this Thursday, February 8 at 10 p.m. local time. Venue presales start tomorrow, February 7 at 10 a.m. local time and come to an end Thursday at 10 p.m. local. The general public will be able to get their hands on tickets this Friday, February 9 at 10 a.m. local.
