The Swedes are coming! The Swedes are coming! This summer, Swedish metal stalwarts In Flames will land on American shores to devastate venues everywhere for a headlining tour that’s sure to kick all kinds of ass.
The new string of dates, starting on May 1 in Portland, Maine and coming to an end on May 26 in Dallas, Texas, is just the latest in a loooong line of tour dates slated for this year. And while they’ll be headlining this run across the U.S. mainland, the super impressive bands Gatecreeper and Creeping Death will be along for the ride.
Looking forward to the newly announced run of shows, In Flames vocalist Anders Fridén said he and the rest of his bandmates were excited to bring this killer show to the U.S.
“We are very excited to have these two killer bands, Gatecreeper and Creeping Death, on this run. I foresee a night of huge riffs, blast beats, head banging, mosh pitting, people loosing their minds and more. Come on down, lets have a good time!!!”
This news means In Flames will have a lot of time on the road this year, as they’re set to embark on their Asia and Australia tour with Kreator later this week. Additionally, they’ve got a fall tour through Europe with Arch Enemy and SOILWORK slated for later this year as well.
Looking to this summer, Gatecreeper vocalist Chase Mason said everyone was super stoked to get this thing started in a couple months.
“We are very excited to tour with In Flames. We have been fans for a long time and got the opportunity to meet and play with the band last summer. In Flames has been a huge influence on our newer material and hitting the road with them after working on our record is an ideal scenario for us.”
There are numerous pre-sales starting tomorrow, with the public ticket sales set to start this Friday at 10 a.m. local time. You can find the full list of tour dates below.
