TRIVIUM & BULLET FOR MY VALENTINE Appear To Be Teasing Album Anniversary Activities

Trivium‘s Ascendancy and Bullet For My Valentine‘s The Poison both turn 20 years old in 2025, and it seems like there may be some joint anniversary activities going on. Well, that or both bands decided to do the exact same style of tease on the exact same day.

Both Trivium and Bullet For My Valentine have deleted all posts on their Instagram, and put up a nine-panel version of both the Ascendancy and The Poison covers on each of their accounts. A double headlining tour celebrating both albums doesn’t seem to be out of the question, given how popular both albums are and how prevalent that style of tour is these days.

It’s worth noting that both Trivium and Bullet For My Valentine do not have any tour dates scheduled at the moment. Trivium frontman Matt Heafy also mentioned in a late 2023 interview with EMP that the band would be taking a break from touring, and instead focusing their energies on their airplane hangar HQ. So… 2025 would make all this really line up, huh?

“Normally we are always, we’re so open with everything — we show everything we do, we talk about everything — but the one thing we are always secretive about is the records. But this time I can say that we’re just going on a proper break this time. Because we’ve done 10 albums of ‘album-tour, album-tour.’

“This time, when this tour cycle ends, we’re gonna take a true break, and instead of working on music, we’re actually gonna work on building our hangar studio, so that way when it comes time to make records, we can do that again. But there are currently no plans for a new record. And I’m not being deceitful there. There’s no plans right now.”
